Toronto, Canada | Hasselt, Belgium | Boston, MA, USA | December 17th, 2020 | UgenTec and DMark Biosciences today announced a distributor agreement to offer the FastFinder software platform for molecular diagnostic labs performing routine PCR. The firm’s agreement will cover Canada and includes all FastFinder products aimed at the routine diagnostic molecular lab market.

With large-scale screening initiatives still presenting a significant challenge, the initial focus will be on bringing COVID sample-to-result workflows to the market. However, the respiratory season opens opportunities for broader panels, and labs still have to deal with routine diagnostic infectious disease and oncology workloads, which are also in scope of the collaboration.
A solution fit for high-throughput diagnostics
Multiple products within UgenTec’s FastFinder software platform will now be offered by DMark. FastFinder Analysis, the platform’s component for data interpretation and reporting, automates the assay instructions for use, minimizing result turnaround time (TAT) by avoiding time-consuming and error prone manual review. FastFinder Workflow adds fully automated sample and instrument tracking. As such, labs have full chain of custody of samples across plates, instruments and labs. And finally, FastFinder Insights offers real-time visual dashboards with lab intelligence across the assay portfolio, instrument fleet, and sites of the lab.
