UgenTec opens US sales office

Thomas Beuls | Press Release | 14/06/2018

Hasselt, Belgium & Boston, Massachusetts - UgenTec, a software company focusing on simplifying and automating real-time qPCR diagnostics, today announces it has opened a United States subsidiary sales office. Paul Ventura, a seasoned life science executive, will be spearheading the US sales efforts.

UgenTec’s FastFinder is a platform that uses AI to intelligently analyse qPCR data. Trained on 100s of assays and over a billion data points, it can take any assay on any device and automate the interpretation.

The platform allows MDx companies to standardise the way their assay is used in the field, making the interpretation operator-independent and reducing time to result, while unifying support efforts in a device-agnostic online platform.

In recent months, UgenTec has disclosed partnerships with several MDx companies. These MDx companies announced they would be adding their tests on UgenTec’s platform.

“Industries across the globe are implementing AI to improve workflow efficiencies, yet many laboratories still have to rely on spreadsheets or scripts for data analysis” says Paul Ventura, US Business Development Director at UgenTec, “UgenTec’s platform called FastFinder brings AI technology directly into the lab, which enables MDx companies and large laboratories increase reliability and optimise time to result of routine real-time qPCR diagnostics”
